LinuC System Architect

LinuC System Architect certification recognizes the abilities of a "Playing System Architect" who can oversee the entire lifecycle of large-scale Linux systems, covering on-premises/cloud, physical/virtualized environments. This includes designing and building flexible and scalable architectures. This certification confirms the holder's knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Understanding and differentiating between common patterns of distributed system architectures and utilizing them appropriately.
  • Determining and configuring concrete setups involving platforms, middleware, networks, and storage using Linux/OSS, while also having the capability to leverage cloud services or dynamically provision resources when necessary.
  • Comprehending the key technologies required to meet various non-functional requirements and implementing them using Linux/OSS. It also covers familiarity with cloud-native design approaches and development methodologies, and the ability to incorporate them into systems.
  • Designing monitoring and testing frameworks for stable operations and continuous development, as well as leading troubleshooting efforts during system operation.

Applicable Jobs

  • Low/middle-level infrastructure engineers (not specializing in a particular area) who aspire to become architects.
  • Middle-level application engineers who aspire to become architects.

Certification of abilities as a "Playing System Architect" capable of designing at various levels of abstraction from processing methods based on specified requirements to concrete implementations, and constructing systems that operate effectively:

  • Understand and differentiate between major patterns of system architecture (processing structures of distributed systems) for appropriate usage.
  • Decide on and configure specific setups using Linux/OSS for platforms, middleware, networks, and storage. This includes constructing and setting up systems that dynamically allocate resources using cloud infrastructure.
  • Understand and apply the elemental technologies needed to fulfill non-functional requirements (availability, performance/scalability, security, operability/maintainability) using Linux/OSS. Additionally, comprehend and incorporate cloud-native design approaches and development methods into the system
  • Design frameworks for operation monitoring, testing, and deployment with a view toward stable operation and continuous development. Also, lead the resolution of operational issues and troubleshoots during operation.
